The devices can integrate with other Ajax products via the Ajax app. When an alarm is triggered, users receive instant notifications, detailing which device was activated and providing precise information on the time and location of the alert.  Ajax FireProtect devices can trigger alerts across all interconnected units if any one detector registers an alarm. The battery-powered FireProtect units can either interconnect via the hub or directly from detector to detector, but not both simultaneously. However, AC mains-powered units support both interconnection methods at once.

A notable feature is the large function button, which simplifies silencing the alarm and activating self-tests, eliminating the need to fumble for tiny buttons typically found on other devices. The devices come equipped with LED lights: red for alarms, yellow for faults, and green for normal operation. If your device combines multiple sensors (heat, smoke, and carbon monoxide), each threat is signalled by a distinct sound, ensuring you know exactly what danger you are facing. Ajax FireProtect 2 devices are available in various versions to match specific requirements:
Smoke Detectors: Equipped with dual-spectrum optical sensors that quickly distinguish smoke from steam or vapour.
Heat Detectors: Featuring two class A1R thermistors to detect rapid temperature rises from synthetic
material fires or smouldering fires.
Carbon Monoxide Detectors: Capable of detecting low concentrations of CO (as low as 50ppm) before the first signs of poisoning occur.
