Case Study - Mega Distribution Centre

At DDS, we are proud to have had the opportunity to provide cameras and NVRs to the largest Uniview install in the UK. With the help of Infinity Security Systems, we have managed to provide over 300 cameras to monitor all 750,000 square feet of ambient/freezer storage and distribution, based a quarter of a mile away from the Port of Felixstowe. 

With such a large area to monitor, including storage, offices, multiple floors and fulfilment zones, this site has utilised all of Uniview's most impressive features and almost needed every type of camera that Uniview provide. These features include LightHunter for incredible night-vision, even at night where some of the spaces within the facility are narrow and poorly lit; low-temperature operation, where cameras are able to be installed within the freezer spaces that currently sit at -30°C; and 250m POE, which is incredibly important for surveillance of large warehouse spaces without having to use too many cameras or reduce the amount of footage.

Although these kinds of premises are very different to the usual installs we see in residential or public areas, they still can be successfully monitored by Uniview technology and really shows us the huge capacity that Uniview offers from their cameras.
