EPD Insulation Group LTD, based in Peterborough, is one of the fastest-growing wholesale screeding, dry lining and plastering distributors in the UK, which supply to both trade and the public. A large-scale organisation such as this requires a high-quality, effective security system, that allows all angle viewing for a large area.

Due to this need, EPD have worked with Absolut Security Solutions, a company that provides installation, maintenance and monitoring for both homes and businesses to create the most effective safety and security, 24 hours of the day.

Absolut have installed over 60 of our Uniview cameras at the EPD Peterborough site, consisting of a mixture of Bullets, Domes, Fisheyes and PTZ Cameras that range from 4MP to 12MP and all controlled from a 64 channel NVR. This set up has changed the way in which the company can be monitored and has enhanced safety throughout, as every square foot of the warehouse and yard can be viewed and monitored without having to enter the premises.

Other than security, this new system has allowed EPD to monitor the large movement of stock that is moved in and out of the premises every day, therefore increasing not only productivity but decreases losses and errors in inventory.

Not only have they installed this camera system but at each entrance to the building, they have installed Uniview’s latest Face Recognition Access Control Terminal. This product from the Heat-Tracker Series enables employees and visitors to check their temperature before entering the building and therefore, creating a virus-controlled environment. This has allowed effective Covid control and enabled the company to keep working effectively through the pandemic.
